Research at the Department of Operations Management

Research in the Department of Operations Management at the University of Cologne investigates how organizations design and manage operations, supply chains, and health systems under real-world conditions. A distinctive feature of our work is the integration of behavioral insights, rigorous analytics, and experimental methods to understand and improve operational decisions. Faculty publish in top journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and the Journal of Health Economics.
